A diverse background in work and life knowledge, understanding and exposure allows for extensive experience in graphic design, teaching and the fine arts. Past Graphic Design positions have allowed me experience from single client freelance jobs to working within a corporate creative department on national accounts such as Starbucks, Lane Bryant, Dunkin' Donuts, Wild Oats Grocery, MGM, etc, which have allowed me the opportunity to participate in the gamut of Marketing and Advertising processes and in acquiring account sales of up to 6 million dollars. These positions have ranged from Senior Graphic Designer, Creative Artist, Graphic Designer, Advertising Designer, Production Artist and Prepress Technician, with work experience ranging from design consultation through idea conception and art direction to designed product presentation in both single client and national company meetings.
Educational and teaching experiences range from Co-Director at The Complex Performing Arts Centre, Creative Director, and teaching; visual art classes as well as conceptual and interdisciplinarily based classes and sessions. I have had the opportunity to work with numerous phenomenal students within the classroom, with renowned Artists and educators, and collaboratively within community based projects. I am a member of the Putnam Arts Council, The Putnam Business Association, AIGA and CT Art Directors Club.
I have developed a skill set which includes art direction, original idea conception, proven leadership abilities, digital and 35mm photography, image manipulation, color correction, typographic sensitivity, headline and copy origination and a wide variety of fine art medium knowledge. Teaching, graphic design, poster design, set design, installation art, co-directing the performing arts. Computer program knowledge includes Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, just to name a few.
